About Leyla – Founder of Luna Design

I’m Leyla, the maker behind Luna Design, where bold colour, playful style, and handcrafted leather come together in jewellery and accessories.

I love working with leather — its texture, character, and the way it transforms into expressive, wearable pieces. A big part of what I do is giving new life to discarded leather from designer brands and offcuts. Because these materials are limited, every piece is truly one of a kind — I may never be able to source the same leather again. That makes creating each item exciting, unpredictable, and full of personality.

Luna Design truly found its rhythm when I moved from London, full of energy, culture, and inspiration, to the calmer, greener surroundings of Surrey and became a mum. Life here gave me the space to slow down, focus on making, and develop Luna Design into a collection of unique, colourful pieces that bring a little brightness and confidence into everyday life.

Every item is carefully cut by hand, made to last, and designed to celebrate colour, individuality, and personal style — because Luna Design is all about helping you feel great in what you wear.
